Efficient Heat Pump Technology

Heat pumps use the latest technology similar to what is used in refrigerators or air conditioners. The heat to be used in the hot water system is extracted from a nearby source such as air or geothermal energy stored in the ground. Since the energy is not produced and is merely being transferred to the hot pumps, it makes the hot water systems far more efficient and sustainable than traditional water boilers or electric geysers. On average, with a solar hot water system a household can save up to $400 per year on their electricity bills.

Combatting Global Warming

The potential of hot water systems in combating global warming cannot be overlooked. This is evident from the fact that heat pumps have the potential to lower Global CO2 emissions by at least 500 million tonnes in 2030 as stated by IEA. This figure is equal to the annual carbon emissions of all cars in Europe today.

Australian Government Schemes for Hot Water Pumps

Depending on your location, you will be eligible for a number of rebates, loans, or other incentives to transition towards clean energy and reduce your GHG emissions.

The Solar Homes Program assists Victorian households in purchase of a heat pump solar hot water system by giving a rebate of up to $1000.

Commercial

In order to reduce the GHG emissions and carbon footprint, NSW government is providing various financial incentives to replace or upgrade your businesses’ existing water heating systems. Our team of professionals at Green Life Energy is determined to guide you through the complete process of transitioning to energy-efficient water heating systems which will help meet the renewable energy targets. 

Subsidies are being provided to the commercial sector under NSW’s Energy Saving Scheme (ESS). The amount of the hot water system is reimbursed by signing a nomination form provided by the approved supplier and to be signed by the recipient. As of December 2022, ESS has been able to decrease the GHG emissions by 23 megatonnes which is equivalent to the carbon emissions produced by the NSW transport sector in 2020.

The Reclaim Energy CO2 Heat Pump Hot Water System includes a heat pump, often referred to as a compressor, and a storage tank with either a glass lining or a stainless steel exterior. This system utilizes ambient heat to warm a pressurized CO2 refrigerant, which is safe for the ozone layer.
